It is obvious you are a waiter at some other restaurant in Boise...pretty pathetic. I just checked Mortimer's website and it doesn't mention the Metropolitan in Seattle-check your facts before you slander someone.- Is follow up to post by jetripard ...
Recently returned to Boise after moving to Seattle and ate at Mortimer's with a friend, as it used to be a decent place to get a nice steak. We were very disappointed with the both the meal and the service. The meal progressed excruciatingly slow, the waiter rarely returned to check on us even though at only 50% capacity, the portions were small, the sides were almost non-existent and the steak was not prepared to our instructions. I conversed with the waiter, telling him that something had slipped since visiting last, suggesting that they should try to benchmark against The Metropolitan Grill in Seattle. I was then shocked to learn that John Mortimer once worked at The Met. He may want to dig up his old notes, as there is no comparison in both quality of food and experience. I later discovered that the Mortimer staff had charged both my card and my friend’s card twice each. The bank is fighting that, but I can only guess that it was done as retaliation against our constructive criticism. Beware! There are much better places to go in Boise. Try The Milky Way. -- 5/11/2005 3:09:59 PM
